NYSPFP Falls Webinar: Standardizing a Fall Risk Assessment for Fall TIPS Collaborative

Friday, January 18, 2019
2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
On January 18, NYSPFP will host a webinar to discuss the fall risk assessment portion of the Fall TIPS (Tailoring Interventions for Patient Safety) Collaborative. Speakers from Brigham and Women’s Hospital will discuss the importance of standardizing a fall risk assessment, why their team recommends using the Morse Falls Scale (MFS), and alternative strategies for teams not currently using the MFS.

For additional information, please reference the NYSPFP website for recordings and materials from the Introduction to the Fall TIPS Collaborative webinar and the Falls TIPS Collaborative website. As a reminder, all NYSPFP Fall TIPS programming is open to all hospitals, regardless of their intention to join the Collaborative. Please contact your NYSPFP Project Manager with any questions or to express interest in enrolling in the Collaborative.

Note: NYSPFP hospitals planning to formally enroll in NYSPFP’s Falls Rapid-Cycle Improvement Program (RCIP) should participate in this event. Please contact your Project Manager with any RCIP questions.
