NYSPFP ADE Webinar: Opioid Safety and Glycemic Management

NYSPFP, in collaboration with the Society of Hospital Medicine (SHM), will host a September 5 webinar on glycemic management and opioid safety.

Glycemic Management
Expert faculty will present recent glycemic management guidelines and discuss a new professional education program developed for multidisciplinary staff involved in glycemic management of patients.

Opioid Safety
Clinical updates in opioid safety will address specific patient populations, including opioid-dependent and post-surgical patients. Faculty also will discuss key points from SHM’s Reducing Adverse Drug Events Related to Opioids (RADEO) guide to help hospitals implement their opioid safety programs.

NYSPFP encourages multidisciplinary hospital staff responsible for opioid management, insulin management, and adverse drug event reduction—including hospitalists, intensivists, pharmacists, nutritionists, nurses, diabetes educators, pain management staff, and other quality and safety leaders—to participate.
