NYSPFP ADE Webinar: Reducing Adverse Drug Events from Opioids (RADEO): A Guide to Safe Opioid Therapy

On March 26, The Society for Hospital Medicine's (SHM) RADEO Implementation Guide provides step-by-step guidance to assist hospital teams in implementing a quality improvement program to improve patient safety and reduce opioid-related adverse events NYSPFP will host a webinar on March 26 to address how to use the RADEO Implementation Guide, as well as questions put forth by hospitals on opioid safety. SHM is just finishing its RADEO collaboration work and will provide timely support to the work being done in New York State.


Matthew Jared, MD, St. Anthony Hospital, in Oklahoma City, OK, who returns to continue the discussion and answer hospitals' questions on reducing adverse drug events from opioids. In addition, representatives from Bronx-Lebanon Hospital and the University of Rochester Medical Center, Strong Memorial Hospital will participate.

Who Should Attend

NYSPFP encourages the multidisciplinary hospital staff responsible for ordering, administering, and monitoring patient medications, and reducing adverse drug events to participate, including hospitalists, intensivists, pharmacists, nutritionists, nurses, and other quality and safety leaders.
