NYSPFP Webinar: New Directions in Fall and Injury Prevention

Tuesday, December 12, 2017
1:00 p.m.-2:30 p.m.
NYSPFP will host a December 12 webinar on New Directions in Fall and Injury Prevention. The goal of the webinar is to inspire participants to redesign their fall prevention programs to take a bundled approach to reducing preventable falls, protecting from serious fall-related injuries, and instilling a greater understanding of the root causes of falls and injury. Previously, these programs included an overreliance on fall risk screening and universal fall precautions.

Topics to be discussed include:
• Essential elements and guidelines for a Fall and Injury Prevention Program
• Translate actionable elements of a Fall and Injury Prevention Program
• Segment high-vulnerable populations to protect from fall-related injury
• Enhanced Post-Fall Management
• Redesign of patient education strategies
