NYSPFP SSI Webinar: ERAS Combined with the Advanced Colon Bundle

On November 15, NYSPFP will host a webinar focused on how to reduce colon surgical site infections (SSI) by operationalizing the enhanced recovery after surgery (ERAS) approach in tandem with NYSPFP’s advanced colon bundle.

A multidisciplinary team from St. Jude’s Medical Center, St. Joseph’s Health in Fullerton, California, will tell the story of how they discovered the NYSPFP Advanced Colon Bundle online and implemented it. The speakers will share their experience hardwiring the NYSPFP bundle with ERAS elements into their workflow to sustain a more than 50% reduction in colon SSIs.

Who Should Attend

NYSPFP encourages colorectal or general surgeons, anesthesiologists, operating room nurses, and infection preventionists to participate in the webinar. Other physician and nurse surgical subspecialists and quality improvement/patient safety staff involved in reducing SSI rates are also encouraged to participate.
