New York State Perinatal Quality Collaborative – Obstetrics Improvement Project Informational Calls

Thursday, May 10, 2012 or Friday, May 11, 2012
3:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
To better align and coordinate obstetrical safety and quality improvement activities throughout New York State, NYSPFP has partnered with the existing New York State Perinatal Quality Collaborative’s (NYSPQC’s) Obstetrical Improvement Project, an effort initiated by the New York State Department of Health. This statewide initiative is focused on improving perinatal outcomes by reducing scheduled deliveries between 36 0/7 and 38 6/7 weeks gestation. The NYSPQC has already achieved significant success with this initiative, including reduction of scheduled cesarean sections and inductions without medical indication, in 17 Regional Perinatal Centers in New York State.

Please join NYSPFP and NYSPQC for one of two of these scheduled informational conference calls, to learn more about this important initiative, including how your hospital can participate. Clinical perinatal safety experts and representatives from the Collaborative will provide a project overview and a description of the Learning Collaborative model.
