VAE/Delirium Prevention: Non-pharmacological Interventions to Prevent and Manage Delirium

On May 30, NYSPFP will host a webconference aimed at providing information on non-pharmacological interventions to prevent and manage delirium in the in-patient setting. The webinar will focus on critical care interventions, however many of these interventions may be considered for non-critical care inpatient settings.

Speakers

• Dr. Alison Clay, Critical Care Specialist, Pulmonologist, professor at Duke University Medical System, and a former critical care patient herself.
• Dr. Tammy Hshieh, Internist and Geriatrician from Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts, and the author of the JAMA 2015 article, ‘Effectiveness of multi-component non-pharmacologic delirium interventions: A Meta-analysis.’
• NYU Winthrop Hospital’s critical care team

NYSPFP encourages critical care staff including, physicians, nurses, pharmacists and respiratory therapists, infection prevention, physical therapy and quality improvement to join this webinar.
