NYSPFP Sepsis Webinar: Early Identification of Inpatients

On Wednesday, April 5, NYSPFP will host a statewide webinar focused on the early identification of sepsis and septic shock for the inpatient population. The webinar is part of a series of web-based education and in-person conferences focused on strategies to achieve reliable adherence to the management of the septic patient.

This webinar will provide an overview of sepsis in the U.S., examine the importance of timely intervention and management, compare and contrast sepsis patient presentation and screening in the emergency department/intensive care units and inpatient floors, discuss strategies to engage physicians in the care of patients with sepsis on the wards, and present the case for the importance of building a multidisciplinary team to care for patients with sepsis.


Featured speakers are Christa Schorr RN, MSN, NEA-BC, FCCM, Associate Professor of Medicine and Clinical Nurse Scientist for Critical Care at Cooper University Hospital, and Andy Odden, MD, Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Department of Medicine at Washington University in St. Louis.
