NYSPFP’s HIIN Measurement Strategy

Wednesday, November 16, 2016
2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
NYS Partnership for Patients (NYSPFP), a joint initiative of the Healthcare Association of New York State (HANYS) and Greater New York Hospital Association (GNYHA), in collaboration with IPRO, will hold a webinar to introduce hospitals to its updated measurement strategy for the Hospital Improvement Innovation Networks (HIIN) initiative on November 16. Topics to be discussed includes new measures and changes to the process and outcomes measures used in prior NYSPFP program years.

The major changes to existing measures concern adverse drug events (ADE), readmissions, ventilator-associated events, and delirium. The intent of these changes is to reduce the data collection burden for hospitals while providing a meaningful and actionable process and outcome measures to drive clinical improvement. NYSPFP will also provide an update on the development of new measures that address worker safety and multi-drug resistant organisms.
