Focused Reduction Strategies: Inpatient Antibiotic Stewardship to Reduce Clostridium difficile Infections

On Wednesday, July 13, 2016, NYSPFP will host a webinar on reducing Clostridium difficile (C. difficile) infections. Arjun Srinivasan, MD, Associate Director for Healthcare Associated Infection Prevention Programs, and Medical Director, Get Smart for Healthcare, in the Division of Healthcare Quality Promotion, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), will provide the national perspective of antibiotic stewardship and strategies for practically implementing hospital-based antibiotic stewardship programs. Dr. Srinivasan will discuss the critical role antibiotic stewardship plays to bring about C. difficile reduction and will highlight the CDC’s Core Elements of Hospital Antibiotic Stewardship.
