Practical Strategies to Enhance Care for the ICU Patient: Preventing VAE and Delirium using the ABCDEF Bundle

On May 24, NYSPFP and Atlantic Quality Innovation Network-IPRO will jointly host an educational webinar focused on implementing the ABCDEF bundle to reduce delirium and ventilator associated events (VAE).


Jean Hsieh, MD., Assistant Professor of the Division of Critical Care Medicine, Einstein/Montefiore Medical Center, Bronx will provide an overview of how the ABCDEF bundle was implemented at Montefiore Medical Center, with a particular emphasis on practical strategies to shift ICU culture to adopt delirium screening as part of everyday workflow

Shellie Rizza NP-C, Critical Care Nurse Practitioner and the critical care team from St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center, Syracuse, will discuss how to effectively engage the multidisciplinary team (MDT) to implement the most current innovative practices for the ICU patient through the ABCDEF bundle.
