NYSPFP Disparities Webinar

Tuesday, May 31, 2016
11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
NYSPFP recently provided facility-specific Disparities Reports. Based on 2014 Statewide Planning and Research Cooperative System (SPARCS) data and 2010–2014 American Community Survey (U.S. Census) data, the reports are intended to generate awareness and provide information to hospitals about the following:

• race and ethnicity data;
• hospital-specific reported data compared with other NYSPFP-participating hospitals;
• race and ethnicity data that the hospital has reported to SPARCS, compared with census data from the geographical area where patients treated at the hospital live; and
• potential areas for improvement in data quality and information on the communities the hospital draws from

This webinar will provide information on how to interpret the NYSPFP Disparities Reports in addition to featuring hospital-specific examples of successful REAL data collection and reporting processes.
