CAUTI Reduction Webconference: Emergency Room Interventions

On April 7, NYSPFP will host a catheter associated urinary tract infections (CAUTI) reduction webconference focused on strategies for the emergency department (ED) staff to assure that all indwelling urinary catheters inserted in the ED are medically necessary, thus potentially reducing CAUTI. NYSPFP staff will review the ED CAUTI quality improvement pilot to optimize catheter utilization, and strategies to spread gains made in the ED to the floors.

Who Should Attend

NYSPFP encourages your CAUTI interdisciplinary team and front-line clinical staff to join this Webinar. This includes at a minimum your CAUTI clinical and data leads, in addition to other key staff members (e.g., nurse and physician champions from, emergency departments, medical surgical units, infection preventionists, quality staff, and ancillary support staff such as transporters).
