NYSPFP Sepsis Process Improvement Webinar

On Wednesday, March 30, NYSPFP will host a webinar to highlight practical tips on how to operationalize the early identification of patients with sepsis in the inpatient setting. Steven Simpson, M.D., Acting Director of the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine and Medical Director of three intensive care units at the University of Kansas Medical Center, will present on how to increase early recognition of sepsis in patients on hospital floors including medical, surgical and telemetry units. In addition, representatives from the University of California San Francisco Medical Center and Wake Forest Baptist Health will join the webinar to present on their successes in implementing a code sepsis and rapid response system approach to facilitate earlier diagnosis and treatment.
