Focused Reduction Strategies: Effective Environmental Cleaning to Reduce Clostridium difficile Infections

On Friday, February 19, 2016, NYSPFP will host a webinar on reducing Clostridium difficile infections. David Calfee, MD, MS, Chief Epidemiologist at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, Weill Cornell Medical Center, will describe the impact of effective environmental cleaning in reducing Clostridium difficile and other hospital-acquired infections. Dr. Calfee will speak to the critical importance of implementing both daily and terminal cleaning protocols and strategies to reduce Clostridium difficile infections, and describe the specific efforts a team at NewYork-Presbyterian, Weill Cornell Medical Center has implemented.
