Ventilator Associated Event (VAE) Prevention: Beyond infections - the development of the ABCDEF Bundle

On Tuesday, January 19, 2016, NYSPFP will host the first webinar in the Critical Care Patient Safety Hub VAE/ Delirium prevention series. The webinar will feature national expert Dr. Wesley E. Ely , M.D., M.P.H., Professor of Medicine at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, Nashville, Tennessee, and the founder of the Vanderbilt ICU Delirium and Cognitive Impairment Study Group. On this first webinar, Dr. Ely will share the history, development and implementation of the ABCDEF bundle at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Additionally, NYSPFP staff will provide an overview of the NYSPFP approach to reducing VAE and delirium.
