NHSN Conferring Rights Procedure Instructional Webconference

Thursday, April 05, 2012
2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
To minimize duplicative data collection and reporting for NYS Partnership for Patients (NYSPFP) participants, we are aligning several NYSPFP infection reporting requirements with the data hospitals currently submit to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN).

To avoid duplicative reporting, your hospital will need to confer rights to NYSPFP to gain access to your NHSN data.

NYSPFP will host a brief instructional Webconference to educate your hospital's CDC NHSN "administrators" on how to confer rights to NYSPFP. The Webconference details are below.

NYSPFP intends to obtain from NHSN outcome measures for four infection areas: catheter-associated urinary tract infection (CAUTI), central line-associated bloodstream infection (CLABSI), ventilator-associated pneumonia, and surgical site infection; and some process measures.
