CAUTI Reduction Webconference: Guide to Patient Safety, Part 2

On June 24, NYSPFP will host an educational webconference focused on successes in overcoming barriers to CAUTI reduction. Several hospitals will discuss both their achievements and challenges with reducing CAUTI. National CAUTI expert, Sanjay Saint, MD, MPH, will participate in the webconference and will provide guidance on how to reduce and maintain a low CAUTI rate, with specific focus on how to effectively utilize the CAUTI Guide to Patient Safety (GPS) tool, engage resistant clinicians, and hardwire practices to prevent harm from CAUTI.

How to join the Webconference

1. Click on the following link to begin logging on: https://nyspfp.webex.com/nyspfp/onstage/g.php?d=640583547&t=a
2. Enter your name and e-mail 
3. Enter the case-sensitive password: Prevent624
4. Click the “Join Now” button.
5. Fill in any additional information requested.
6. Click the “Submit” button at the bottom right-hand side of your screen. 

After loading, a pop-up box will appear with the following dial-in instructions: 

• The toll-free phone number: (877) 668-4493 
• The Meeting ID number: 640 583 547 
• Your unique Attendee ID number: ____ (Assigned when you log into the Webconference) You will need to key this number into the telephone to ensure your computer and telephone are linked.

This Webconference will be presented with Closed Captioning. Who Should Attend

NYSPFP encourages your CAUTI interdisciplinary team and front-line clinical staff to join this webconference. This includes, at a minimum, your CAUTI clinical and data leads, in addition to any other key staff members (e.g., nurse and physician champions from intensive care units (ICUs), non-ICUs, emergency departments, operating rooms, infection preventionists, quality staff, and ancillary support staff such as transporters).
