NYSPFP will hold regional in-person conferences in June focused on patient and family engagement. The conferences are designed to support hospitals to advance meaningful patient and family engagement by sharing information, tools, experiences and practical implementation strategies. The conference will explore opportunities to effectively engage patients and families from organizational system-level approaches as well as at the bedside.
Susan Edgman-Levitan, PA, Executive Director, John D. Stoeckle Center for Primary Care Innovation, Massachusetts General Hospital; Tanya Lord, PhD, MPH, Patient Engagement Consultant at Foundation for Healthy Communities New Hampshire, and others, will join members of the New York State health care community in presenting strategies for implementing structures that support engagement and involving patients through operational processes at the bedside. NYSPFP encourages hospital executives, clinical managers, nurses, hospitalists, patient advisors and patient care staff to attend one of the two regional conferences.
