Advanced Colon Bundle Kick-Off Webconference

On April 2, NYSPFP will introduce the Advanced Colon Bundle, designed to help hospitals accelerate reductions in colorectal surgical site infections (SSI). Robert Cima, MD, Professor of Surgery and Consultant at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, will share his hospital’s experience with bundles, how best practices were hardwired into the surgical workflow, and subsequent reductions achieved in colorectal SSI. Following this webinar, NYSPFP will host regional in-person conferences featuring Dr. Cima to provide guidance on how to operationalize the bundle and improvement interventions.

4. Click the “Join Now” button.
5. Fill in any additional information requested.
6. Click the “Submit” button at the bottom right-hand side of your screen.

After loading, a pop-up box will appear with the following dial-in instructions:

• The toll-free phone number: (877) 668-4493 
• The Meeting ID number: 641 655 836 
• Your unique Attendee ID number: ____ (Assigned when you log into the Webconference) You will need to key this number into the telephone to ensure your computer and telephone are linked.

Who Should Attend

NYSPFP encourages your hospital’s SSI/OR Safety Colorectal Surgical Champions (including at a minimum, surgeon, anesthetist, OR nurse) to participate. Quality improvement and patient safety staff are also encouraged to participate.
