Interventions to Enhance Surgical Safety across the Continuum of Care

On March 20, NYSPFP will host an educational webinar featuring hospitals in New York State that have successfully implemented interventions to reduce harm to the surgical patient in the pre, intra and post-operative period. During this webinar, members of the multidisciplinary team(s) responsible for implementing these interventions will share their experiences and how they reduced common complications affecting surgical patients including surgical site infections, post-operative venous thromboembolism and post-operative sepsis.

5. Fill in any additional information requested.
6. Click the “Submit” button at the bottom right-hand side of your screen.

• Your unique Attendee ID number: ____ (Assigned when you log into the Webconference) You will need to key this number into the telephone to ensure your computer and telephone are linked.


Who Should Attend

NYSPFP encourages hospitals’ SSI/OR Safety Surgical Champions, including at a minimum, a surgeon, anesthetist, and OR nurse to participate in this webinar. Quality improvement and infection prevention staffs are also encouraged to attend.
