CAUTI Office Hours Series

In follow up to the in-person CAUTI reduction events held in September, NYSPFP will host five CAUTI “office hours” led by Dr. Sanjay Saint and supported by regional physician and nurse leaders. Each session in the series will be an open forum for discussion, questions, and answers, organized around a particular theme in CAUTI reduction and urinary catheter utilization and management.

The focus of the November 20 Office Hours session is: Reducing Catheter Insertions in the Emergency Department Setting.

Who Should Attend

NYSPFP encourages your CAUTI interdisciplinary team and front-line clinical staff to join these sessions. This includes, at a minimum, your CAUTI clinical and data leads, in addition to any other key staff members (e.g., nurse and physician champions from intensive care units (ICUs), non-ICUs, emergency departments, operating rooms, infection preventionists, quality staff, and ancillary support staff such as transporters.)
