Newburgh: NYSPFP Regional ADE Educational Sessions Featuring ISMP Faculty

Friday, November 22, 2013
9:00 am – 3:30 pm
Hilton Garden Inn
15 Crossroads Court
Newburgh, NY 12550
As part of its adverse drug event (ADE) reduction efforts, NYSPFP has partnered with the Institute for Safe Medication Practices (ISMP) to provide hospitals with education and evidence-based practice recommendations for anticoagulants, insulin, and opioids, as well as medication reconciliation. These regional in-person educational programs will focus on best practices in medication management and the prevention of errors.

In addition to the practice recommendations that will be provided, attendees will learn how the new, optional ADE measures project will provide meaningful information to assist in the planning, implementation and evaluation of opportunities to reduce ADEs.

As always, NYSPFP project managers and staff are on hand to assist and support hospital efforts as they implement both their new measurement strategies and any new initiatives to reduce adverse drug events.
