The Healthcare Association of New York State (HANYS) and the Greater New York Hospital
Association (GNYHA) created the New York State Partnership for Patients
(NYSPFP), an initiative to reduce hospital-acquired complications by 40% and
preventable readmissions by 20%, which concluded in December 2014.
During its implementation, the NYSPFP supported New York State hospitals as they continually strive to provide the safest and finest patient care. Through their strategic partnership, HANYS, GNYHA, and key stakeholder organizations across the state provided resources, cross-cutting improvement strategies, high-quality educational programs, and tailored support to their member hospitals that participated in NYSPFP.
Hospitals will find valuable resources on this Web site from the NYSPFP initiative, including initiative overviews, meeting materials, and tools and resources, to assist with their efforts to sustain improvements made during the project.
